If my Netflix binge sessions taught me anything, it’s that a good TV show sucks you in –– makes you imagine a world in which you’re a part of the fun (or the drama). That’s the insight we wanted to use to create Netflix’s 2014 Emmy’s spot.
Instead of a traditional network sizzle piece cut together with uplifting music and a shameless stream of accolades, we celebrated Netflix’s original series through the eyes of a superfan –– in this case, Ricky Gervais.
The spot was featured as Adweek's Ad of the Day and won a Promax Award. So I guess those hours spent stuffing my face with snacks in the Upside Down weren’t for nothing!
